Evan Auyang is the Head of Asia-Pacific and Managing Director for Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG). Prior to his role at GLG in March 2016, Evan was the Deputy Managing Director of The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (KMB) and an Executive Director of the board of directors for Transport International Holdings – KMB’s parent company listed in Hong Kong with businesses spanning bus services, media, real estate, and international joint ventures in Mainland China.
Evan is also extensively involved with civic work, chambers and NGOs. He is a Board Director at Civic Exchange, a non-partisan public policy think tank and serves on the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce. He is recently appointed by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong as a member of the Advisory Committee on Corruption of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (“ICAC”), and as an Advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation. Evan is also on the Executive Committee of the Young Presidents’ Organization (Hong Kong Chapter), and on the Executive Committees of Green Monday and the Young Executives Club of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC). In addition, Evan serves on the Board of Advisors of Kellogg School of Management Alumni Club.
Before joining KMB in 2009, Evan was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company. Before management consultancy, Mr. Auyang was at Citigroup’s derivatives structuring and marketing unit. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
