GLG’s (Gerson Lehrman Group) Marketing Specialist will be responsible for helping to develop and refine the marketing strategy for GLG Events. Goal-driven and committed to excellence, GLG Events leverages the world’s top expertise to create meeting and event-based solutions that transform how our clients learn. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and be able to deliver actionable business intelligence insights to optimize marketing channels and the client engagement strategy. This includes lead/demand generation, campaign performance and funnel analysis, and working as a strategic partner with the client engagement teams to drive product usage.
Develop and refine event email marketing strategy and execution to grow and retain customer base.
Develop and refine the strategy for marketing measurement and analysis, including the implementation of dashboards and reporting.
Provide regular reporting on event marketing performance for senior management with recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with Business Development and Client Engagement teams in targeted marketing of events to customers.
Conduct A/B testing on event marketing channels to optimize performance.
Ensure event marketing strategy and execution adheres to the most current industry best practices and standards.
2 to 4 years of post-undergraduate experience in positions of increasing responsibility within a corporation or event management firm.
Experience working with marketing automation applications such as Eloqua, Marketo, or Pardot.
Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM software.
Familiarity with Excel and analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Amplitude, or Tableau.
Successful track record of working in a team environment.
Proven ability to work in a rigorous, fast-moving work environment.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complicated concepts in an easily digestible manner.
