Job Summary

GLG is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Live Events business. This individual will play a key role in developing GLG’s Qualitative Insights and Live Meeting/Event solutions to our clients which include major corporations in a variety of industries such as Tech, Manufacturing, CPG and Financial Services. Responsibilities will include leading client qualitative research engagements from end to end/full cycle, using research methods ranging from in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus groups, bulletin boards/online diaries and other in-person or virtual bespoke meetings.

 

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead client relationships and recommend qualitative research solutions (primarily with IDIs, focus groups and online methodologies) to meet their expectations, and ultimately drive further client engagement
  • Support the client team on the delivery of their qualitative market research projects (study design, questionnaire development, fielding and analysis) and establish strategic relationships with recruiting populations, and key vendors
  • Manage the project team to deliver client projects on time, within budget and to client satisfaction
  • Gather customer feedback (post-project and lost business) to improve offering
  • Create, build and grow client relationships via ongoing business development and growth of holistic book of business
  • Assess and improve the Live Events product offerings and leading go to market strategy projects
  • Work with teams across GLG to identify best practices and techniques to address research objectives
  • Provide education to clients and internal counter parties on best-in-class qualitative market research, including but not limited to build marketing collateral and act as an internal resource for sales and service training
  • Manage and mentor junior team members

 

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • At least 5 years of work experience in qualitative research (including insights, brand strategy), innovation, or R&D
  • Extensive proven experience leading client relationships and qualitative research projects (IDIs, focus groups, online bulletin boards, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of the full qualitative research methodologies and processes (logistics, design, execution and implications)
  • Must be self-motivated, highly organized and adaptable with an ability to lead multiple projects at one time
  • Experience managing relationships and projects with major brands and corporations in CPG, Tech/Digital, and Financial Services is required
  • Strong commercial skills leading client negotiations and driving financial performance
  • Previous experience managing a revenue target and/or a P&L is preferred
