Director of Marketing EMEA

The Director of Marketing, EMEA will be responsible for defining and executing a marketing strategy and plan to support GLG’s growth efforts in EMEA, encompassing client audiences in Financial Services, Corporates and Professional Services Firms. He/she will be tasked with working with the CMO and EMEA business leads to identify areas of opportunity, effectively communicate new offerings, drive engagement among existing client and support acquisition of new clients as well as coordinating with the sector marketing leads based in New York.

The Director of Marketing, EMEA will be the point person to deploy campaigns within each market and will own end to end campaign execution, collaborating with and each of the marketing function leaders to ensure that revenue and profit objectives are supported with well-informed and innovative marketing programs that drive demand and engagement with GLG’s offerings. He/she will also be responsible for managing in-market collateral development and deployment to support effective sales conversations. The ideal candidate will be ready to take on an entrepreneurial role that will require strong influencer skills as well as a deep B2B marketing toolkit.


Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


  • Marketing planning and campaign deployment in support of business goals across GLG’s lines of business and markets in EMEA
  • Modification and deployment of US- or APAC-based marketing programs to leverage existing frameworks and campaigns
  • Creating innovative strategies and marketing plans to drive business unit growth, while ensuring alignment with the GLG brand.
  • Partnering with the CMO and marketing subject matter expert teams (e.g. content) to support EMEA business unit goals, e.g., strategically sound marketing plans, budget and resource allocation, customer segmentation, creative marketing programs and tracking of relevant metrics.
  • Participating as a member of the marketing leadership team at GLG


An ideal candidate will have the following:


  • 5-7 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years of experience marketing business services or technology to B2B audiences
  • Experience deploying marketing programs across EMEA
  • Track record of success in working in and influencing a fast-paced, fast-growing global organization.
  • Experience with Salesforce and a marketing automation platform (Marketo, preferred).
  • Executive-level interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate; effectively working across multiple levels, roles, and functions in the organization.
  • Player/coach mentality
  • Proven ability to evangelize and teach marketing principles and practices to relevant stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.  MBA or related advanced degree would be preferred.
