Job Summary


GLG is looking for an associate for a startup division, called Strategic Projects, to help us scale an engaging community of independent consultants and continue to professionalize how we staff our consulting engagement.


GLG Strategic Projects offers a disruptive alternative to traditional management consulting.  Our unique service platform partners top tier independent consultants with industry experts to deliver consulting engagements. The division is growing rapidly, so this is an exciting time to be a part of our team. In this role you will work in a fast-growing, dynamic and entrepreneurial team with broad exposure to managing the community of consultants within two-sided marketplace model.


The successful candidate will be personable, collaborative, result-oriented, and passionate about what we do. The leadership will provide close mentoring environment to accelerate development, while also allowing autonomy to drive projects forward.


Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Engagement: Grow engagement with our independent consultants to drive satisfaction, loyalty and insights. Identify needs of consultants to provide value for being part of Strategic Projects community.
  • Community building: Build a stronger community for our members by organizing events, L&D programs. Establish personal relationships as an ambassador of our brand.
  • Marketing: Build strong brand recognition in the consulting market. Run acquisition campaigns, formulating messaging, cadence and strategy. On-board high potential consultants, while managing KPIs and targets.
  • Staffing operations: Streamline on-boarding council members onto consulting projects by recognizing client needs and advocating for our consultants with internal teams.
  • Insights: Drive council member insights to guide our efforts, additional research and content development.


Preferred qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in community management, user engagement, talent operations or practice management. Experience with two-sided marketplaces and platforms, or staffing in consulting are a plus.
  • Personable, energetic and motivated to grow our community.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and cross-functional coordination ethic.
  • Skilled communicator and a genuine listener.
  • Excellent content writing skills, natural in communicating effectively.
  • Comfortable with some ambiguity, team player, collaborator and a creative problem-solver.
  • Solid computer skills and analytics, i.e., Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
