Job Summary

                               

GLG is looking for an associate to help a startup division, called Strategic Projects, to build out a strong network of independent consulting talent (Council Members). This individual will work closely with GLG Strategic Projects leadership on creating and executing the vision for critically important business capabilities across: talent and acquisition strategy, recruiting and operations. GLG Strategic Projects is a collaborative environment with interdependencies across business functions. The associate will work cross-functionally, leveraging GLG support functions to achieve timelines and project delivery.

 

This is a high profile position that is critical for the success of the business unit. The successful candidate will be able to be define a problem, structure resolution and juggle multiple projects. You are execution-oriented, but also entrepreneurial self-starter, who is able to dig into the root cause to crack the problem and thrive in a rapidly evolving business with ambiguity around.

 

This position will report to AVP, Strategic Projects who will provide a close mentoring environment to rapidly accelerate development, while also allowing autonomy to drive projects forward. As the role progresses, you will own execution of larger projects.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Talent management: Creation of a high value and mutually beneficial talent network environment that generates Council Member loyalty and positive ROI for GLG
  • Recruiting and strategy: Identifying, pitch, recruit and onboarding Council Members
  • Operation optimization: Implementing internal and external process, with supporting technology, that streamline operations for talent acquisition
  • Talent development: Develop GLG services that support Council Members in their professional development, business success, and client service
  • Insights and analytics: Deep-dive into Council Member data and synthesize insights

 

Requirements

  • Preferred qualifications: 3+ years of experience; talent management operations, start up, or management consulting firm
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and integrity combined with practical sense to cut to the core issues and analysis
  • Ability to engage on a broad range of business topics
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in entrepreneurial environment
  • Structuring and leading multiple projects simultaneously to completion
  • Develop and deliver written and verbal communication to inform decision makers
  • Team player and creative problem-solver
  • Solid computer skills and analytics, e., Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven Ability to Self-Start
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher; ideally with qualitative and quantitative background g. Psychology and Math, Behavioral Economics and Human Resources/Recruiting
