We are looking for an entrepreneurial, thoughtful and analytical person to join our team to conduct quantitative analysis, business reporting and qualitative research to inform our business and product strategy.

You are execution-oriented, but also a self-starter, who can dig into data to identify the root causes of issues and solve problems.  You thrive in a rapidly evolving business with ambiguity around how to accomplish lofty aspirations.  You enjoy partnering with colleagues to implement great solutions to big and gnarly problems.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Data analytics and reporting: Drive and own the creation of regular reports to monitor performance, diagnose issues, and track impact of strategic initiatives. Deep-dive into data and synthesize insights to diagnose issues and identify improvement opportunities. Analyze leading, in-process, and lagging indicators to support fact-based decision-making.  
  • Product analytics: Work with product and engineering teams to define KPIs to measure specific elements of our platform. Monitor product metrics and collaborate with engineers to identify technical and process solutions to improve the customer experience. Partner with other team members to execute and assess product testing.
  • Modeling: Utilize historical data and various analytic techniques to build financial and operational models to forecast the impact of initiatives / changes under consideration. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of key assumptions and business drivers on future outcomes.
  • Customer segmentation: Support the success of our product and business strategy through customer segmentation analysis.
  • Presentation preparation and development: Develop written and verbal communications to inform and align with key decision makers and stakeholders across the organization

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • An undergraduate degree from a top-tier school
  • 2-3 years of relevant job experience with focus on data analytics and modeling, such as management reporting & analysis, business operations/analysis, management consulting, customer or marketing analytics
  • High degree of quantitative, analysis, and creative problem-solving skills; critical thinker
  • Strong SQL skills, with experience building complex database queries
  • Excellent facility with Excel required
  • Experience and comfort with PowerPoint
  • Self-starter and intellectually curious
  • Strong communication skills and team player
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
