We are seeking an experienced event manager for a specialized role to innovate and manage employee engagement events, manage our on-site hospitality team, and work with our sales colleagues on prospect events. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Internal Communications, HR, Learning & Development, and Business Development) and leadership team on event development and execution
  • Manage NY headquarters on-site event hospitality team to create the GLG brand experience
  • Operational management of multiple meetings and events, including but not limited to:
      • Strategic meeting development to achieve goals
      • Budget and financial management, with emphasis on project-based ROI
      • Data management and analysis
      • Campaign and community management
      • Venue selection and host program preparation for onsite management
      • Travel arrangements
      • Budget and financial management, with emphasis on project-based ROI
  • Create meaningful experiences that will increase employee engagement
    • Set process standards and show strong decision making abilities 

We seek applicants with an undergraduate degree from an accredited university with a minimum 3.25 GPA. Across all of our positions, we insist upon excellence, integrity, creativity, and high-level of professionalism. 

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 5+ years of post-undergraduate experience in positions of increasing responsibility preferably within an event management firm
  • Experience creating employee engagement events and internal community building
  • CMP or equivalent is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities including managing multiple meetings and events at one time
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills - oral, writing and presentation - in a business-focused, client facing setting along with strong copy editing skills
  • Proven ability to work in a rigorous, fast-moving work environment
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (including Excel and Word) and other database and technology tools are required
  • Team-based work approach with ability to influence
