Job Summary

                               

GLG Projects is looking for a Senior Associate/Manager Business Operations. As part of the Projects Business Operations team, you will be responsible for professionalizing and scaling the Projects business’s operations through process design and implementation, growing the reputation of our brand through product formulation and marketing, and strengthening our network of independent consultants through community-building and platform improvements. This is a key role within a dynamic and entrepreneurial team, that provides exposure to the business operations with the autonomy to drive significant projects forward

 

GLG Projects is a fast-growing business-unit within GLG, that offers a unique alternative to traditional management consulting. Our unique service platform pairs top tier independent consultants with senior specialty advisors, as well as GLG’s industry-leading resources to deliver in-depth bespoke consulting solutions to our clients.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operations: Work closely with our internal team of consultants to understand process and product pain-points, in order to scale and professionalize our platform service through process design and optimization.
  • Project management: Independently run projects with cross-functional teams, execute on change management, implement tools and processes, oversee and report on key business metrics.
  • Team management: Manage a direct report, their development and provide guidance to junior colleagues outside of our team. Drive behavior change across a broader team and align with cross-functional stakeholders on execution.
  • Product Definition: Work with our internal teams to define new standards for our consulting projects in areas of quality and cost improvements.
  • Product Innovation: Explore product and process enhancements, and work with senior leadership to define new product ideas, parameters and KPIs.
  • Insights and analytics: Generate insights into process, client, and product performance, and conduct data analysis and research to help guide the direction of the business.

 

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • At least 4 years of experience in project management, operations, consulting, or research and analytics.
  • Demonstrable success managing projects and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Must be creative and persistent in solving problems

 

 

  • Strong analytical and insight-driven approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects in parallel is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and effective qualitative and quantitative presentation skills.
