Account Manager, Corporate Markets Tech


Job Summary

GLG is looking for an experienced professional to fill the role of Account Manager, on our Corporate Markets team in San Francisco. This will be a key client facing role, focused on rapidly growing GLG’s Corporate Markets business in the Technology sector. We seek a professional who is passionate about the Technology sector and is looking to drive exponential growth across the Software, Hardware and/or Internet sectors. This person needs to have demonstrated ability to drive high activity levels, to develop customer relationships, and to think creatively and strategically about how to grow commercial relationships. This role is a great fit for someone who understands the Technology sector, is passionate about user engagement and is eager to attack a fast-growing market and drive commercial results.


Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Account Management – maintain account map and holistic view of total addressable users. Build and maintain strong, trusted and long-lasting client relationships, especially with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors, with the goal of driving credit utilization upside relative to contract value. This person will have a clear understanding of their client account and the structure of their organization.


  • Solution Selling – navigate complex problems by delivering solutions to create custom thought partnership with our clients, differentiate our platform vs. competitors and show our ability to provide dynamic solutions while upholding best practices in end-to-end project management.


  • User Experience – taking ownership of the user relationship, including all project management and effectively leverage tools and marketing to retain and nurture clients at scale. Deliver an exceptional customer experience with proactive communication, orchestrating the right internal resources, and continuously improve our approach to efficiently and effectively secure our customers success.


  • Leadership – effectively partner with colleagues to consistently deliver outstanding service to our clients and define best-in-class practices by constantly leading through innovation and finding new ways your clients can leverage GLG products and solutions to advance and grow their usage.


An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a customer-facing customer success, account management or an enterprise solution sales environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive team player with innovative ideas to inspire customer loyalty and adoption
  • Business acumen and ability to communicate solutions clearly
  • Ability to internalize GLG’s value proposition to communicate and customize it effectively
  • Client-first mentality with top notch customer service skills
  • Must be team-oriented, very responsible, detail oriented and focused on exceeding client expectations
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
