GLG’s Member Solutions team are enthusiastic professionals who act as front-line relationship managers with GLG Council Members. This Internship is an exciting opportunity for university students to learn how to build and maintain relationships. Member Solutions interns provide support to help enable the successful management of relationships with GLG’s Council Members: 500,000 former C-suite executives, academics, scientists, policy specialists, former public sector leaders and other top professionals.

As a Member Solutions Intern, each day will present a variety of inquiries from both Council Members and colleagues requiring critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. You will learn to master the Council Member relationship workflow while developing business acumen, time-management skills, professionalism, negotiation, and translation and communication skills.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

In our open and collaborative work space, you will communicate with colleagues and Council Members across the greater Asia Pacific region in a friendly, idea-sharing, and support-driven manner, focused on achieving the following tasks

Complete a fast-paced training program that leads to effective support of Member Solutions team
Improve and enhance GLG messaging to Council Members by reviewing and translating content from English to Simplified Chinese
Interact with GLG Council Members and address general inquiries, via email, telephone regarding their consulting relationship with GLG, including issues relating to payment and technology tools

Collaborate with GLG’s compliance team to protect the integrity of all GLG engagements and to ensure that Council Member profiles are complete and up-to-date

Other tasks based on team requirements.

An ideal candidate will have the following:

Native Mandarin and Proficient English speaker with excellent communication skills required, third Asian languages a plus. (high score of TOFEL, IELTS is preferred)
Current third-year student at a top-tier local Shanghai university, preferably pursuing a degree in foreign language, communication, or business administration

Excellent communication skills including demonstrated proficiency in oral, writing and presentation abilities in a business focus setting using a variety of communication channels (telephone, email, in-person, etc.)Demonstrated commitment and attention to detail, ideally in a high-volume, fast-paced environment;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Passion for fast-paced learning, especially in a technology-enabled environment;
Passion for high level customer service
Ability to work effectively independently and/or collaboratively in a team;
Able to attend 2~4 days per week.
