Client Solutions Senior Associate, Corporate Markets

Position Overview:

To support our fast growth in the advanced industrial and consumer products sectors, and to help us innovate further, we are looking for a smart and driven professional with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to build consulting skills for our team in Sydney.

The Senior Associate is an independent and smart professional that plays an integral role in a team that helps business leaders solve some of their most complex business challenges.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

The role offers great professional development opportunities in strategy development, visual and oral communication, problem solving, and implementation in a highly entrepreneurial environment. 

  • Manages projects, clients, project teams, and internal resources to provide solutions to complex problems and ensure top quality level of service and deliverables and be the ultimate owner of a client engagement
  • Help develop a successful, fast-growing business with everything that entails: developing long-term and short-term strategies, building trust-based lasting relationships, contributing to a great team culture, and coaching and mentoring more junior colleagues
  • Support new business development and growing GLG client relationships in Australia including new clients as well as senior stakeholders. This relationship development will stem from proactive phone outreach, project execution, post-project client feedback, and occasionally in-person client meetings in partnership with Sales.
  • Enhancing the GLG Councils by developing relationships with GLG’s most respected thought leaders and business professionals across Australia, as well as recruiting new senior executives and experts in GLG Councils through networking and direct outreach.
  • Developing and implementing strategy for our efforts in close collaboration with our Leadership team, Sales team, and other GLG stakeholders. Track team performance and create plans to accelerate growth and revenue near- and long-term.
  • Programming live in-country meetings or teleconferenceson relevant subject matter and news worthy events to our clients in collaboration with Sales.

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 2+ years of work experience; ideally in a client service, management consulting and/or corporate strategy role
  • Knowledge of Australian corporate markets or industries
  • Passion for problem solving
  • Outstanding communication skills and willingness and credibility to engage senior professionals
  • Understanding of the business climate. Interest in working across industries and varied subjects
  • Strong interest in leading commercial negotiations and driving financial performance
