It’s an exciting time to join the GLG and the Research Operations team.  GLG is the world’s leading professional learning platform with over 1,400 employees helping our client companies to answer specific questions through 1:1 learning.  Our Council Members are a highly vetted group of professionals who have joined GLG to help answer these questions from GLG Clients, typically in brief u201cmicro-consultingu201d consultations.  Growing Council Membership base to meet clients’ learning needs is one of the core competence of GLG. In a competitive market such as Australia, speed and cost effectiveness is the key to win. GLG Australia is working on strategy to grow current capability to stay ahead of the game. You will:

 

  • Execute on short- and long-term vision for building up the team to enhance GLG council membership base.  This will include launching a pilot program in the first half of 2018
  • Collaborate with external partners and ensure value is bring created for both parties
  • Build strong partnerships and gain buy-in with stakeholders, including senior management team.

 

This role will offer a broad exposure to the Council Management, Strategy, Client Servicing and Engineering groups.

 

Specific requirements include:

  • Business Development: Design a pitch deck to partners and drive deals from concept to execution (in partnership with internal partnerships lead); 
  • Implementation: Partner with technology, sales and other teams to implement enhancements enabling process improvements;
  • Talent Strategy: Determine talent requirement and build the team. Determine KPI and incentive structure for this team. Proactively take a lead on best practices in talent acquisition; be responsible for training and development efforts;
  • Operations Management: Review workflow and improve performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. This includes managing escalations and presenting performance dashboards to management.

 

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 3+ years of experience with a focus on quality of service delivery, workflow management;
  • Familiar with tools, channels, and tactics to identify recruit industry experts across a variety of topics;
  • Demonstrated excellence in an operations and project management role with successful track; record of launching initiatives and driving change;
  • Must have prior industry specific experience in Australia
