Strategic Partnership Manager

As GLG’s business and Council Membership base continues to grow rapidly, we have identified a strategic opportunity to accelerate our success. GLG is the world’s leading professional learning platform with over 1,400 employees helping our client companies to answer specific questions through 1:1 learning.  Our Council Members are a highly vetted group of over 500,000 professionals who have joined GLG to help answer these questions from GLG Clients, typically in brief micro-consulting consultations. 

 

The role of the Strategic Partnership Manager is to develop partnerships that further increase GLG’s custom recruiting capabilities and expand our Council Member base that will help manage research inquiries coming from our client firms based in Australia.

 

This is a key role with an exceptional opportunity for someone with entrepreneurial mindset to drive new initiatives with attention and support from the senior management team in APAC. The role will work closely with members of senior management, including country GMs and senior leaders of the research organization. This role is designed for someone who can move initiatives forward with autonomy from day one.

 

Specific responsibilities include (not limited to):

  • Innovate and launch new ways to drive council member acquisition;
  • Exercise flawless judgment around GLG’s policies and procedures for protecting the integrity of client engagements;
  • Identify prospective partnerships, developing tailored collaboration models, negotiating commercial terms and service levels;
  • Formulate and implement procedures to maximize efficiency;
  • Build business cases and monitor results;
  • Liaison with top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity that help drive high level of client service.

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 5-8 years of experience in partnership development and management;
  • Experience in external stakeholder management in a business-focused setting using a variety of communication channels will be preferred;
  • Methodical and meticulous as a project manager. Needs to operate with  utmost sense of ownership for the initiatives being managed;
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management;
  • Have a strong ability to influence and drive results within the organization at all levels and with all functions;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment;
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills;
