For nearly a decade, Toby Norman, co-founder and CEO of Simprints, has worked with doctors and health professionals around the world on improving healthcare delivery through technology. Toby is a 2016 Forbes 30 under 30 Social Entrepreneur and in 2017 was named a Schwab Social Entrepreneur of the Year. He earned a PhD from the University of Cambridge on a Gates Scholarship and holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard.

Simprints is building open source software and biometric hardware to help create a unique record of the roughly one billion people worldwide who lack formal identification. Their fingerprint scanner is affordable, secure, and rugged, and used by researchers, NGOs, and governments to work more effectively in the toughest conditions.
