“I try to use a digital form of payment every chance I get,” says global payments industry executive Mark Waring. He’s not alone. Waring sits down with GLG to discuss innovations in the payments space, the rise of mobile, and the future of branded credit cards.

Mark Waring is a payments industry executive with nearly three decades of experience in product management, product vision strategies, program management, international business development, and client relationship management. As former Director of Global Merchant Solutions at PayPal, Waring was responsible for global product strategies and development of online merchant payment acceptance. He also devised plans for the execution of products with revenue exceeding $1.5 billion and achieved 15% YOY growth for targeted products. Prior to Paypal, Waring spent over 25 years with First Data, a global technology leader in information commerce. Waring most recently served as a Sales Executive at Apigee, a top provider of API (application programming interface) technology and services. His focus was to enable financial services companies make their backend capabilities and data available to their partners and clients via APIs.
