Associate, Business Development (SEA Private Markets)

Responsibilities include generating new business opportunities, collaborating closely with the Client Solutions team, and advocating for expert insights in the private market sector across Southeast Asia. Most client engagement occurs over the phone or in person, making proficiency in Mandarin essential for effective communication with clients.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Generate new subscription sales with private equity firms in Southeast Asia.
  • Drive service adoption and engagement with key accounts through workshops, client meetings, and event outreach.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales and outreach targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the private equity team and other departments to maximize opportunities within existing client firms.
  • Provide support in the subscription renewal process to ensure client satisfaction.

Goals and expectations

  • Exceed targets for new subscription sales and user outreach.
  • Proactively prospect for new business through phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct phone outreach to increase service usage and event attendance.
  • Build a strong network of relationships within the private equity industry.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated sales acumen and hunger for success.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Sales or client-facing roles within finance or professional services.
  • Must have a strong desire to constantly engage with clients in person.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Some experience in meeting sales quotas is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
