Move Fueled by Rapid Expansion
Austin, Texas; February 2, 2017 — GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc.), the world’s leading professional learning membership, today announced plans to expand its innovative office in Austin, Texas, doubling its size from approximately 42,000 to 84,000 square feet, providing space for up to 800 of its employees. Award-winning architect Clive Wilkinson will design the new GLG space. He and his firm are also responsible for GLG’s global headquarters in New York City, as well as the current Austin space.
Currently home to more than 400 of its employees, the GLG Austin office occupies the 15th and 16th floors at 301 Congress Avenue in downtown Austin. It was recently named one of the best offices for mid-size companies by Interior Design magazine. GLG will now add all of the third floor and half of the second floor of the building to its footprint. Less than a year ago, GLG moved into its current Austin space, which doubled the size of its office from approximately 24,000 to 42,000 square feet.

GLG’s new space, like its current floors, will incorporate locally-sourced materials and craftwork, LED lighting, metal mesh ceiling, concrete exposed floors and green guard certified materials. The two new floors will connect directly through a large atrium with a central staircase, and be fitted out with a barista bar, a training and seminar room, and an outdoor landscaped terrace. The project will be completed in two phases with the first move-in scheduled for this coming July.
GLG’s Austin and New York offices are among the largest North American implementations of activity-based working, a flexible and collaborative approach that makes for more creative and comfortable work environments.
