Gayatri Datar, co-founder and CEO of EarthEnable, has worked in international development her entire career. She previously served as a consultant for Dalberg Global Development Advisors, New Sector Alliance, The Boston Consulting Group, and the World Bank. In this capacity, she has worked with grassroots NGOs in India, Namibia, Nicaragua, and Albania. Gayatri holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard, an MBA from Stanford, and an MPA in international development from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
EarthEnable develops affordable and sanitary earthen floors for homes in Rwanda and Uganda. Their washable flooring protects more than 15,000 people from common health issues caused by dirt floors, such as infectious disease and respiratory conditions, and is 75% cheaper than concrete alternatives.
