CEO of Thorn, Julie Cordua has more than ten years of experience leading change at new and established organizations. Previously, she was a vice president of marketing at (RED), where she helped raise more than $160 million to fight AIDS in Africa. She has also led global marketing efforts at Motorola and wireless start-up Helio. Julie has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern and a bachelor’s degree in communications from UCLA.

Thorn works to prevent the spread of child sexual abuse material on social platforms and other digital media. Thorn’s proprietary technology helps tech companies, law enforcement, and NGOs combat the proliferation of this material on social platforms and other digital media. Their first product, Spotlight, accelerates the time it takes to identify victims of human trafficking and is successfully used by law enforcement across the U.S. and Canada.
