Associate, Business Development (Consultancies)

The Business Development Associate role on our Professional Services Firms team will be responsible for maintaining key client relationships (Consultancies) within their book of business. They will be responsible for regularly presenting GLG’s platform to clients to increase familiarity with GLG’s offerings, generating new client users, getting feedback from existing users, using GLG’s CRM to track and map client accounts, and work in collaboration with teammates to drive adoption of GLG’s platform. 

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

The Business Development Associate will: 

  • Be responsible for onboarding all new consultants to the GLG platform
  • Will drive business within specific, named accounts that are currently GLG clients
  • Collaborate with senior business development executives to retain and grow existing client relationships
  • Build account plans and keep a pulse check on account health for different regions

Goals and expectations: 

  • Tight coordination with client relationship leads and account servicing team
  • Help execute relevant parts of the account planning process
  • Improve account penetration rate to increase the number of regular active users
  • Support renewal process to increase retention rates
  • Help drive attendance at GLG events
  • Create & Maintain Client Presentation
  • Liaise with internal operational partners to deliver on client requests (finance, compliance, )

Key performance metrics for the Business Development Associate include establishing relationships with new contacts at client firms, client revenue growth, increase in users of GLG’s services at client firms, and adoption of new products and systems. The Business Development Associate will be working closely with the Business Development Managers and Business Unit Managers so the commercial success of the Business Unit will also be a metric in how the Associate is measured. Candidates should be comfortable articulating the value of our expert network, professional services, and client-facing software systems to clients.

Candidates must have a clear track record of excellence in several categories, including teamwork, professionalism, communications, organization and client service. 

Candidates should also possess: 

  • A bachelor’s degree is required in addition to 1-3 years of demonstrated success selling information services and solutions telephonically
  • The ability to build strong and lasting relationships with key decision-makers in client firms
  • Ability to work well independently and be self-motivated
  • A strong passion for persuasion, especially around complicated and intellectually challenging issues
  • Superior verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A demonstrated ability to read and understand people

Working Environment: Flexible / Hybrid working arrangements typically requiring 2 days per week in office.

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$49,900$70,000 USD
