Job Description: Enterprise Data Operations Analyst
Role Summary
GLG’s Core Engineering team builds the technology eco-system that enables effective and efficient operations for the company globally. Our team of engineers are laser focused on deploying technology solutions that instrument the business, modernize the systems stack, increase cybersecurity maturity, and enable enterprise productivity.
Reporting into the Data Platform team within Enterprise Data, the Operations Analyst is tasked with responsibility over all operational workflows for the team. This person will have responsibility overseeing the day-to-day effectiveness of global operations, coordinate support in cooperation with our on-call rotations, and drive solutions to problems that affect our operational efficiencies. They will become intimately familiar with GLG’s data systems and reporting platforms, both troubleshooting and enhancing data repositories and reports.
An ideal candidate will have the following:
- Exceptional ability to clearly and accurately communicate processes and procedures verbally and in writing
- 4+ years experience writing SQL queries. Knowledge of Python a plus.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to manage own time effectively and promptly respond to clients
- Demonstrable ability to think around issues and look at the wider picture in order to provide solutions through a variety of problem-solving techniques
- Experience of developing professional and effective working relationships with customers and key stakeholders and delivering a high level of customer service
- Experience managing a ticketing system, ticketing queue and metrics around ticket management
- Experience working in a tiered support organization, understanding of escalation paths and collaboration with multiple support teams
